Our host was Anna. She was very knowledgeable and passionate about explaining the art while weaving in the history of the time. It helped make the artists come alive and provide a glimpse of what life was like for them. She helped create a calm atmosphere in which to explore the Vatican museums and St. Peter’s Basilica in spite of being in the midst of thousands of people. I can’t imagine navigating this without a guide and Anna was wonderful.
